The International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS) kindly reminds you that the deadline for submissions to the 2nd ISETS 2024 International Conference is June 30, 2024. This prestigious event, hosted by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in Nanjing, China, will take place from November 1-4, 2024.
Nanjing’s profound historical significance and scenic charm make it a captivating destination for both academic pursuits and cultural exploration. Nestled along the Yangtze River, Nanjing boasts a harmonious blend of ancient culture and modern vibrancy. Visitors can explore its rich heritage through landmarks such as the Ming Dynasty-era city walls, the solemn Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, and the majestic Confucius Temple. The city is also renowned for its lush landscapes, including the serene Xuanwu Lake and the picturesque Purple Mountain (Zijin Shan), offering a tranquil escape amidst bustling urban life.
Papers submitted to the conference have the opportunity to be published in one of the special issues (SIs). You are welcome to indicate your preferred SI during submission. Qualified papers will be invited to submit to the appropriate journal based on recommendations by the session chairs. Please note that a recommendation does not guarantee final publication. The papers will be subject to regular review, and all journal requirements must be satisfied.
CALL FOR PAPERS
We welcome submissions from all areas and diverse disciplines related to the energy transition and climate change. Papers to be considered include but are not limited to the following list of topics:
- Energy transition economics, policy and sustainable development
- Role of energy efficiency in economic development
- Energy and climate modelling and analysis
- Renewable energy industry (products, technologies, etc.)
- Low-carbon building and transport
- Energy pricing, carbon, electricity and stock markets
- Finance and investment
- Innovation, Research & Demonstration
- Environmental impacts and governance, ESG
- Social impacts and management
- Energy security, risks and economy
- Case studies on successful sustainable energy transitions
By default, submissions are presented in an oral session. Please indicate if you prefer a poster presentation or if you do not wish to make a presentation. CALL FOR SESSIONS
Interested parties can submit proposals for concurrent sessions until July 30, 2024. Each concurrent session is approximately 100 minutes long and should consist of at least four paper presentations. The session organizer or their team can present a maximum of two papers during the session. Session organizers will be responsible for promoting the workshop, selecting, and reviewing the final papers.
Proposals to organize Sessions should include the following information:
- The title of the session
- The name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address(es) of the proposer(s)
- A description of the topic of the session (not exceeding 100 words)
- Paper titles and authors
