International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS) Announces Global Call for Nominations: Celebrating Excellence in Carbon Neutrality and Energy Transition
[Sydney, 13 January 2023] – The International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS) is proud to announce a global call for nominations for outstanding cases in the fields of carbon neutrality and energy transition. This initiative seeks to recognize and highlight the innovative practices, technologies, and solutions that are making significant strides towards a sustainable, low-carbon future.
Enterprises, institutions, and professionals from around the world are encouraged to recommend or self-nominate cases that demonstrate exceptional achievements in various sectors, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, carbon capture, utilization and storage, and green infrastructure. The scope of nominations can encompass groundbreaking research, transformative projects or practices, effective policies, and revolutionary products or technologies.
ISETS, headquartered in Australia, is a non-profit professional platform dedicated to empowering global sustainable energy transition. It facilitates a global exchange of knowledge, experiences, and case studies in energy transition among industries, professionals, governments, and research institutions across different countries and regions.
Supported by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), ISETS held its inaugural annual meeting in Bangkok in October 2023. During this event, Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the ESCAP, highlighted ISETS’ potential as a pivotal hub for knowledge and collaboration in energy transition, particularly in supporting the needs of developing and least developed countries and regions.
Nomination Criteria and Process:
- Significant impact on carbon neutrality or energy transition.
- Replicable or scalable model with potential benefits to other regions, particularly in developing and least developed countries.
- Free nomination process with detailed case descriptions required.
- Nominations accepted via ISETS official email: isets@isets.org; secretariat@isets.org.
Evaluation and Recognition:
- An expert panel will review the nominations and select outstanding cases.
- Featured recognition on ISETS’ website, publications, events, and digital platforms.
- Special recognition at annual conferences and high-profile occasions, including the upcoming second ISETS international conference in Nanjing, China (November 1-4, 2024).
Deadline:
- Open-ended submission, with a specific deadline of August 31, 2024, for those wishing to participate in the exhibition at the 2nd International Conference in Nanjing.
