The Inaugural ISETS Forum (Chengdu)

Opportunities and Challenges of Energy Transitions under China’s Carbon Neutrality

On June 25, 2021, the first ISETS Forum was successfully held in Chengdu, China, marking the official launch of the ISETS Energy Transition Forum, or ISETS Forum.

ISETS Forum aims to provide a small to medium size dialogue and knowledge exchange platform for all stakeholders in energy transitions.

The ISETS Forum is open to global stakeholders. Anyone interested in hosting the ISETS Forum is encouraged to contact the ISETS Secretariat (events@isets.org).

This inaugural Forum themed “Opportunities and Challenges of Energy Transitions under China’s Carbon Neutrality”. Six out of the 30 submissions were selected to present at the Forum.

This Forum was organized by Professor ZHANG Dayong, ISETS Vice-President from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, with the support of the China Energy Finance Alliance and the Society for the Studies of Climate Finance.

Professor JI Qiang, ISETS Vice-President, opened the Forum on behalf of ISETS and gave the keynote presentation.

The Forum attracted 30 participants from 12 prestigious Chinese universities and institutes, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Renmin University of China, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Xiamen University.
